The Best Banana Nut Bread

Banana Bread fresh from the oven

Banana nut bread is so delicious. It is especially yummy fresh from the oven, with a spread of soft
butter on top. I also love to eat mine in the morning with my coffee. The banana flavor is just
right, and it is not too sweet, which can be overwhelming with coffee. This is by far the best banana nut bread recipe.

I hope everyone enjoys the recipe and I suggested some add-ins, but I think it would be great with a variety of things so have fun with it!

Ingredients

  • 3 large ripe bananas
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 tsp. Vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. baking soda
  • Optional add-ins: 1 cup chopped nuts or 1 cup chocolate chip

Directions

Preheat oven 350⁰ and spray the pan with cooking spray. Melt butter in a medium bowl. Add
banana to the melted butter and mash the bananas to a smooth consistency. Lumps are ok but
make sure the bananas are well broken up and mixed well with the butter. Add the eggs and
vanilla, mixing everything well. I suggest just using a fork to mix everything because the lumps
will add to the flavor and texture of the bread.

In a separate bowl add the flour, sugar, cinnamon, salt, and baking soda. Mix the dry ingredients
and add to the banana mixture. Fold using a spoon or spatula and add in nuts or chocolate chips
if you are including them in the recipe. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 45 minutes
or until a toothpick comes out clean when placed in the center.
